Our mission
Antama's mission is simple: to enable scientists and science institutions to maximize their societal impact. We partner with scientists on projects related to science education, public engagement, and societal benefit in order to help reduce the distance between scientific discovery and public benefit.
The conversation to found Antama Science Engagement Partners began in December 2025. With the shifting landscape of priorities surrounding science, science funding, and — most importantly — science education and workforce development, we believe that the time is right to renew the scientific community’s focus on societal benefit as a core outcome of scientific activity.
Antama’s four founders began meeting regularly in January 2026 to discuss the creation of a company that could partner with scientists to support impact-driven work and to help the scientific community both maximize its impact on the public and communicate the benefit of that work most effectively.
Science thrives when its practitioners hold themselves accountable to each other and to the public that funds our work. At Antama, we work with maximum integrity, holding ourselves accountable to the company's values, to each other, to our clients, and to society.
Science changes lives. When designed with intention and executed at the highest ethical and societal standards, scientific work changes lives for the better. At Antama, we strive to do the best work possible, in the most ethical way, as transparently as possible, for the sake of our clients and our society.
Science is healthier when it works to improve society. This includes both creating benefit and redressing harms. At Antama, we direct our work toward both broad and specific societal benefit, including through our choice of clients, our choice of collaborators, and our participation in the scientific community at large.
Science is more effective when scientists collaborate not only with each other, but with members of the public as well. At Antama, we strive to treat each other, our partners, and our clients as collaborators in a shared scientific enterprise, working from a standard of both mutual and societal benefit.
